Route overview

An indicative Andaman passage

This is the most demanding seven-day itinerary and should be offered only to a suitably experienced crew in a stable high-season window. The indicative plan totals about 281 nautical miles, with approximately 265–285 nautical miles expected. It requires very early departures, long days underway and a flexible return strategy; an overnight or partly night passage may be used when the skipper judges it appropriate. The former plan's Koh Rok–Koh Ha–Phi Phi–Phuket final day was not achievable at five knots and has been replaced by a direct, passage-focused return. Remote parks and anchorages mean onboard provisioning, yacht readiness and current access rules are critical.

The forecast chooses the final track. Mileage, anchorages and activities are planning estimates. The skipper confirms the safest route after considering weather, sea state, tides, park access, yacht condition and crew experience.

Day by day

Indicative passage plan

Each day is a planning framework, not a promise of a particular anchorage or activity. At five knots, a 50-mile leg requires roughly ten hours underway before pilotage and manoeuvring.

Approx. 56 nm

Begin with a long southbound passage

  • Meet early at Yacht Haven for the yacht, safety and route briefing
  • Establish watches and allocate navigation, helming and domestic roles
  • Sail approximately eleven hours at five knots toward Koh Ha
  • Complete arrival pilotage and secure the yacht before resting

There is no promised activity stop on the opening day. Progress and a safe arrival take priority.
