Safeguarding Policy

The welfare of children, young people and adults at risk is a priority throughout our training and school activities.

Safe participation

We plan training with appropriate supervision, clear behavioural expectations and attention to the additional risks of working on and around the water. Students under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless the school has explicitly agreed another arrangement in writing.

Expected conduct

Staff, instructors, students and visitors must maintain appropriate professional boundaries and treat one another with respect. Bullying, harassment, sexualised behaviour, intimidation, exploitation and unnecessary one-to-one isolation are not accepted. Images of students are used only with appropriate permission.

Reporting a concern

Report any safeguarding concern promptly to the Principal or another member of the school team. We will listen, record the essential facts, protect confidentiality as far as possible and refer serious or immediate concerns to the appropriate local authority or emergency service.
