Stay aboard or ashore
Live aboard the training yacht during applicable practical weeks, then choose a convenient room ashore for theory study, extra nights or time between Fast Track components.
Included with practical courses
Standard RYA Competent Crew, Day Skipper Practical and Coastal Skipper Practical weeks normally include accommodation aboard the training yacht. Students check in from Sunday evening, sail away from the marina and check out when the course ends Friday at 17:00.
Recommended accommodation ashore
These convenient options work well before boarding, after checkout, during classroom courses and between applicable Fast Track weeks. Reservations are made directly with each provider.

When to book a room
Book ashore if you arrive before Sunday check-in or remain in Phuket after Friday checkout. Arriving a day early is the safest choice after a long flight.
Classroom courses do not include yacht accommodation. Fast Track students also arrange rooms ashore for applicable theory weeks, weekends and programme breaks.
Start Yachting is normally a non-residential weekend course. Students leave the yacht after each training day and arrange their own accommodation ashore.
Use the boarding and checkout times shown on your selected course run. Wait for your booking confirmation before paying for inflexible accommodation or transport.
Tell us your course date, budget, arrival time and luggage needs. We can help you compare the practical options, while your booking contract remains directly with the accommodation provider.
